2009 December 3
by Tracy

Phew! Finished my contribution to December Aspiration set for WNF.
6 Toddler girl and 4 female adult outfits for Sims 2, and a pattern for Sims 3 – my first pattern! Followed tuts by HP, easy peasy. Also learned some new tricks in Photoshop while editing too. Win win yes?!

However, there were NO dontations this month :( Jess had to pay everything herself. Please consider donating, even if it’s 2 bucks, it’ll help.

We need $50 a month for server fees. Visit WNF for more info.

Redfern Legacy – Gen 2.5

2009 December 2

Last time we saw the Redfern’s Patrick and Shelly got engaged. Patricia achieved her LTW. Patrick is getting pumped for the wedding!

What do you do when it’s 3 am and you can’t invite over a ranked opponent? You play against Deep Thought 9.

Last time in the Redfern Legacy: Has Patrick found true love? Will Patricia fulfill her LTW?

70Red_DeathVisit Trying out another mini game; saw it on the Sims 3 Legacy group: Whenever the message comes up that a sim is getting gold and might die soon, the playable friend will visit the death-bed sim (so to speak). Nice move EA for killing the friend off just as Patricia entered the house.

Redfern Legacy – Gen 2.3

2009 November 14

Last time we left the Redferns, Patrick was looking for a future partner.
Trying out a mini game to incorporate as many hidden traits into the Redfern line.

So how do you meet a Fire-Sim? You start a fire. How do you start a fire?

63Red_StartingAFire
You leave something on the stove. So I distract Patrick by getting him to mop the floor. He even does the dishes, makes the beds, cleans shower and the sink; but no fire?! Turns out genius Patrick is quite a handy little sim and I somehow forgot that he had upgraded the stove to be fireproof. Hohum. So I got him a cheap stove.

Last time, Patrick was about to age to a Young Adult – no more school! It’s takes up so much time in a sim’s day, don’t you agree. And don’t get me started on the homework they have to do . Sheesh.

50Red_SameFather

Yes, they do have the same father. Only 4 candles though? With flowers?!?

When we last saw Patricia, she was announcing her pregnancy to the unfazed Boyd.

Now, not only is her food undercooked, she’s 3 days pregnant, and her TV has bad reception. Can her day get any worse?

Redfern Legacy – Gen 1.1

2009 October 14

Founder: Patricia Redfern

I downloaded Patricia Williams from WNF Aspiration set for October, them just aged her up in CAS and customized her traits, favs etc. (and of course changed her surname ;) )

Meet Patricia Redfern ! You will love her ‘cause she’s a slob, but she’s good; easily impressed computer whiz who handles a paintbrush with flair. Don’t waste time with three course meals; just some fruit in a cup will keep her happy while she taps her feet to the electro beat. She doesn’t want much in life, not too fussed about a career; she wants to master the arts of paper: written and painted. Love her cause she’s big and beautiful!

First things first

2009 October 7

Please don’t take this blog too seriously; it is a game after all (says she who is addicted to lurking Simsecret)

Used to have a Sims blog on my site, expressims (hosted by WNF !), but it corrupted and did under table favours for cheap code and hard servers. But I miss blogging about playing. So now I’m starting this one.

Even though I ‘technically’ created for the game, I far more enjoyed playing it. Seriously. That was my motivation for creating in the first place. I will see clothes in a magazine, or a nice room and think, “That would look SO great in my game”. The opposite has also happened. I’ll walk past a shop and tell Henk: “ My sims have that exact same couch… in 4 colours too”. I had these satin PJ’s that I simmed as well. Went to sleep over at some friends and she commented on how nice they were. I told her “Ja, I made them too”. Meaning I made them for the game. I can hardly stitch straight o my dewing machine, let alone do elaborate piping etc.

So this is my little space where I can go on-and-on-and-on about my sims. What they’re up to (cause I don’t control them – they got minds of their own) Sometimes I try out challenges, Asylum being my favourite.

I’ll be linking to a few bloggers’ sites that also don’t take themselves too seriously.

Happy Simming!
